iPhone 7 is ready to release.
It appears that Apple iPhone 7 might not be in short supply after all, with the company reportedly ramping up production.Apple has revised the orders for the new iPhone parts by 10 per cent. The report comes from sources in the phones supply chain in Taiwan. Apple remains positive about the replacement demand for the iPhone 7 with existing iPhone users. The source predicted that shipments of the new iPhone will be only 60 per cent of the numbers recorded in the same time last year.
According to an earlier report KGI Securities, Apple is expected to lower shipment number (close to 65 million) this year for the iPhone 7. KGI blames the new iPhone for having less than expected innovative points to generate buzz around the new device.
Only 74 million, iPhone 7 devices are expected to be built in 2016, a 10 million reduction in units when compared to last year, according to an earlier Nikkei report. Apple saw a drop in revenue for two straight quarters after the launch of the iPhone 6S last year.
Apple iPhone 7 is expected to come with a humble number of updates. Reports suggest that the phone will have an IPX7 certification, which will make it waterproof. The larger of the two devices will carry a dual 12MP rear camera array, quite different from what rivals like LG, Huawei offer. Both phones will be equipped with an A10 processor, which will be clocked at 2.4GHz according to KGI Securities.
Some other changes expected in the Apple lineup includes the addition of two new colours – dark black and piano black, with a total of five colour options. The iPhone 7 Plus will feature 3GB RAM, and the 16GB version will phased out in favour of a 32GB base variant. The other two storage options will be 128GB and 256GB.
