What calls for special attention is that the HTC 10 is coming soon – we already know this. The new smartphone will be officially announced on April 12, maybe hitting shelves not long after that. Based on rumors, the HTC 10 will run Android Marshmallow with Sense 8.0 UI, while sporting a Quad HD screen.
HTC ROM developer seems to be confirming the existence of a Quad HD display and Sense 8.0 by unveiling what he calls the “first Sense 8.0 wallpaper for Quad HD screens.” The wallpaper is similar to what we’ve seen in a previously leaked HTC 10 render, and will most likely be one of the new phone’s built-in wallpapers.
When we don’t know exactly what Sense 8.0 UI will bring, we have a pretty good idea about the hardware of the HTC 10. The smartphone is supposed to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM. HTC already let the world know that the upcoming handset will offer “world first, world class, front and back” cameras, plus “boom” sound. Other features should include a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button, up to 64 GB of internal memory, and a 3000 mAh battery.
Speaking of its design, the HTC 10 breaks away from the One M series by adopting a One A9-like appearance. It remains to be seen if that’s a good thing. What do you say?
