Beyond all question, HTC is prepping a new smartphone known as the One X9, in accordance with reports.And China’s TENAA, the country’s version of the FCC, has certified the device, on the basis of Phone Arena.
What’s more, HTC One X9 LeakTENAA posted photos of the device, which show the usual slab-style smartphone with the HTC logo on the back.
Specs are make up of a 5.5-inch, 1,920-by-1080 display, as well as a 2.2GHz quad-core processor, and 16GB of onboard storage, the blog said. Also, it will come with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Earlier reports suggest the device does not have any physical buttons on the front and lacks a fingerprint sensor.
Further, HTC has struggled in the smartphone market lately. The company, which once sat towards the top of the space, is well behind competitors Apple, Samsung, and Huawei now. HTC has lost two design chiefs in as many years and co-founder Cher Wang took over to help the company regain its footing.
For its part, HTC has recognized its issues in mobile and says it plans to focus on emerging segments of the industry, including wearables and virtual reality.
