HTC is readying a Vive-branded smartphone

HTC

For a few weeks, HTC has made fun of a January 12 event that will show up at store “U” in 2017. Just what does this mysterious clue mean? We can have a better idea, and obviously the company is eager to try something different. Most of the clips are experimentally centered with unusual cell phone designs, such as cloth or splash colors. The most interesting part is, however, the last: HTC briefly shows a Vive-branded phone, hinting that the company wanted the popularity of banks in its virtual reality headsets.

Unfortunately, it ‘s not clear what the long live phone meant. Is it a hint to support Google’s daydreaming virtual reality platform, or a custom way to move virtual reality? A special mate to live with Viva? Or just try to use a familiar name? We’ll soon know The whole story If HTC launched the event for this device, but even this brief tip is interesting.

Update: As it turns out, this video already exists since June 2016 when an HTC TV video producer, Vimeo, uploaded it. It was public for six months, in other words, people did not notice it until now. Since being taken down in the original home. This does not completely preclude the prospect of Vive-badged phones or special materials, but this is not a successful leak at first sight. Many can change the space for half a year, too.

Also, we quickly pointed out that HTC has VR’s mobile app store, Viveport m. It just does not have hardware unless you count the Google Pixel XL Daydream-ready design. It may be that HTC has already planned mobile virtual reality, not a dedicated phone.
