Manish Sisodia tells LG Jung to Discuss the Developments That Took Place While He Away

The LG had asked Sisodia to cut short his trip and return to the capital in the wake of the outbreak of dengue and chikunguya. However, he returned as per his schedule on September 18.

After his meeting with Jung, Sisodia said, “I met the Lt-Governor and told him about the education system in Finland. There will be no compromise on issues on health and education in Delhi. This is largely what we discussed.”

On September 16, Jung had sent a letter to Sisodia through chief secretary K K Sharma asking him to return to Delhi. “I told him (Jung) that if there was an emergency, he could have called me up on the phone. But he sent a letter through the chief secretary. I told him that I am here for anything that is needed,” said Sisodia.

Sisodia also held a meeting with MLAs to discuss the problems in the functioning of the District Urban Development Authority (DUDA).

Sadar Bazaar MLA Som Dutt had raised the issue of procedural delays in the DUDA in the Delhi Assembly on August 22.

“The deputy chief minister held meetings with MLAs, DUDA district-wise. We told him that there were delays by the DUDA in clearing projects undertaken with MLA Local Area Development funds….The DUDA officer assured me that in the next three days, the fogging machines would be delivered,” said Dutt.
