HTC’s next flagship phone, perhaps called the One M10, is still at least a few months away, however speculation is already starting to heat up. A new report claims to reveal several important details, such as the company’s possible launch plans and some of its hardware.
In terms of LlabTooFeR, who’s typically pretty reliable speaking of HTC rumors, the company may really offer the One M10 in two different variants. The U.S. and Europe will get a Snapdragon 820-powered smartphone, when Asian markets could end up with a MediaTek chip instead. Both models will run Android 6.0.1 along with a new Sense 8.0 UI from HTC.
The leak, which refers to HTC’s smartphone through its rumored codename “Perfume,” also notes that the device perhaps announced at a special standalone event. That makes sense, since the One M10 is expected to skip Mobile World Congress next month for a launch in the spring.
Also, the One M10 may also pack a 3000mAh battery and a 23-megapixel rear camera. The company has had issues with its camera in the past, however hopefully it can find a solution for this new device. At that, HTC is rumored to introduce a new water-resistant design with an IP68 rating.
Probably, we will not get an official look at the One M10 until March, whereas it perhaps won’t be too long before the first images of HTC’s next phone start to leak. Stay tuned.
